Midwest

To love the Midwest is to appreciate the endless skies of Iowa, the crisp autumn mornings that set the Ohio sugar maples ablaze with color, and the unspoiled coastal wildnerness in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  Though many coastal inhabitants may be unsure of what the Midwest has to offer them, almost every bite of food tells the story of the rich farmland which called out to so many of the original settlers.  The health and viability of the midwestern ecosystem shouldn't just be a concern to the many environmentalists doing important work out in the central states; it should be a priority for everyone to ensure that the most productive topsoil is and grazing land is healthy for generations of Americans to come!

The Midwestern YESC clubs call Wisconsin and Minnesota home, two states known for cold winters, excellent cheese, and beautiful lakes and rivers.
